About Paxton

Paxton Asher is a Canadian circus, dance, and theatre creator who is passionate about connection and inspired exploration. Being raised in a household that founded both the “DanceXperience” and “FeminineXperience”, Paxton was heavily involved in the creative process. As a lead choreographer, instructor, and performer in the family dance business, she organized many events, including a flash mob financed by the city of Ottawa.

Leaping from the dance world to the theatre world, Paxton attended Canterbury’s Dramatic Arts program (2016 - Ottawa, ON), followed by Humber College’s Devised Physical Theatre program (2019 - Toronto, ON) specialising in devised physical theatre and collective ensemble creations.

Upon graduating and relocating to the USA, Paxton fell in love with the circus world and jump-started training at Aerial Arts of Rochester. Here, Paxton quickly became a lead coach and performance troupe member. She coached many circus classes, developed the sought after Acro-Chair Dance program, and directed the
2022 Fringe Festival show “ROAR”, all while performing professionally throughout upstate NY.

In 2023, Paxton relocated to Brattleboro, VT to enter year 2 of New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA) ProTrack program, majoring in contortion and minoring in aerial chair. Graduating in May 2025, Paxton is excited to continue to perform throughout New England and around the world! She is committed to spreading her knowledge, creativity, and inspiration to all!
